Email Domain Lock

Email Domain Lock

This setting prevents people from registering or logging in unless they have an email address that matches the specified domain. For example, if you wanted your users to only login using personal emails you could set the domain lock to '@gmail.com' and '@hotmail.co.uk'. This feature is also useful because it can help prevent users accidentally entering an incorrect email address and creating a duplicate account. For instructions on how to enable this setting please read below:

  • Click 'Settings' then 'Security'
  • You should notice an empty field under 'Email domain'
  • Enter the desired domains here. If you have more than one, make sure to separate them using a comma
  • Enable the email domain lock by ticking the check-box then pressing 'Save changes'
