Email templates

When using our LMS, you have the ability to create custom email templates which you can send out to users. We already have 4 automated email options which cover 'reminder to complete' and 'refresh reminder' emails but you may want to make your own for other reasons. Please bear in mind that all custom email templates on our system need to be plain text rather than HTML. If you're not sure how to set a template up take a read through the instructions below: 

  • Log into the LMS and click 'Settings'
  • Click on 'Messaging'
  • Select 'Add email template
  • On the first line enter what you want the template to be called
  • On the second line, specify the subject line of the email 
  • Now, you can type up the body of the email in the field provided. The template must include one required tag - {login_url} or {login_button}. If you're not sure what tags are or how to use them, please take a read through our 'Formatting & tags in emails' article.
  • Once you're happy with your template press 'Save changes'! It will now appear as a template option when sending emails out to users. If you're not sure how to send emails out from our system, take a read through our 'Sending welcome emails' article.
