How to use filtering to find a user

The Learning Management System (LMS) has many options to help you find the user or group of users you are looking for.

To find the user:

  1. Click the Users tab on the menu bar at the top of the page to show the menu.
  2. Select the type of users to show the User management page.
  3. Find the learner by filtering:

On the Search bar choose to filter by:

Segments (if configured)

  1. Find the box labelled Segment:.
  2. Click the arrow to show the list of configured segments.
  3. Select a segment from the list.
  4. Click Search on the right of the Search bar to apply your filter.

Profile fields with keywords

  1. Find the box labelled Filter by:.
  2. Click the arrow to show the list of profile fields and custom profile fields.
  3. Select a field from the list.
  4. In the box labelled with keyword(s) enter your search text (You can include wildcards in your search text, click the ? icon for more information.)
  5. Click Search on the right of the Search bar to apply your filter.

Created or last login date range

  1. Click the Filter by date link to open the calendar.
  2. Select your date range or use the shortcut buttons to set the date range for Today Yesterday Last week or Last month.
  3. Click the arrow on the Created box and select to filter on Created or Last login date.
  4. Click Done to save your date filter.
  5. Click Search on the right of the Search bar to apply your filter.

You can also click on the column headings to sort into alphabetical/numerical order to refine your search.
